Cann't Edit Quest files

Hey,
I want to put my own Quests in the Quest file. But when I try to open Quest01_eng.bin with Quest Editor by Lee Langan Alpha 0.03, I get "File access denied". Don't know why :/. Sry for bad English

I'm not sure what would cause that error, but you really shouldn't be editing our quest file anyway. Unless you meant the original file.

You do know that if you change your quest file and then try to hunt with people who have the official release of Ultimate Tri, you will cause problems?

I only change Quest what are not modyfied by the patch, for example some of the Harvest Tour Quests

Still, changing quests that have been carried over from the original quest list is the same as changing quests that Rocks made. If you try to go on this quest with anyone who has a different quest in that place on the quest list, problems will happen.

or maybe Rocks has designed a safety barrier to prevent such problems, and doesn't allow people with different quests to hunt together.

It would cause problems if, for example, he posted his edited quest and one of us tried to join it.

Exactly.

So that'd kinda defy the purpose of having the same quest list as everyone else, if you change a quest, and then try to hunt with others in that quest.

I agree that the files should not be touched.

Well, what if the files he wanted to change weren't the online ones persay, but the offline ones? Wouldn't he have to open up the bin file to do that, too?

It's a separate file for offline quests.

Yeah, but I did not include such offline files. Since he mentioned a protection, he can only be referring to the online ones I posted.

Ah, gotcha. I'm gonna close the topic now, if that's okay with you guys. I don't see any reason why someone would want to change the files of this particular CQ package if they plan to quest with others who have the same files.
