Never Ending Story

we finally reach the cave entrance to the spring.
"we finally made it." zeles said falling to her butt.
"yea, lets hope it can restore our powers." i said leaning against a tree.
"and if it doesnt?" she asks.
"then i dont know, maybe relax for a bit." i answered.
"maybe we can go back to my home?" she asks as she gets up.
"i'll think about it." i replied.

The sky was dark, there was no wind and not a single drop of rain, yet the dark clouds of storm where up there, the land was a forsaken wasteland and the few trees left were long dead.

And there she was, walking through the calm night, her broken armor was barely holding itself and the lines of red were going through her body and falling through the remnants of the armor, her sword was stained in battle and it reflected the fallen creatures and her shield had lines of cracking on it.

Then she saw another creature, it was in a similar state as her, its scyther also had its tiny piecess falling, yet its yellow and penetrating eyes were full of determination. In a second, both warriors ran towards eachother.

The clash of metal was echoing around the wasteland, a slash appeared on the skeleton´s shoulder, then a cut appeared on the huntress back, it was a battle of will and internal strength.

In a sudden move, the skeleton grabbed the huntress´neck and pointed it scythe to her heart, knowing it could win, the warrior asked "Do you want to continue on this nightmare? or would you want to like to end it?"

"This place that belongs to the damned beings also has changed to the good" she said pointing with her eyes at a flourishing tree. "You have done a well job to judging them and they have accepted their fates" she said when the fallen warriors slowly stood up.

"None dead, as I expected my young valkyre, yet i still have won this battle" the skeleton said, but the huntress impalled herself onto the scythe and held the skeleton´s soul. "Remember that my hearts belongs to someone else" she said coughing some blood. the Grim Reaper nodded as he lost the battle and set her free of the underworld

Ursula took the now waking girl onto her arms "Using a deal of death to beat the own reaper.. im impressed, but why did you fought with him?"

"I´ll tell you when I wake up.." Kristia said falling asleep. "Well tomorrow we will sleep" the guardian said cuddling and falling asleep with the huntress.

after leaving the cave, a beaten up me leans against a tree, all cut up and bruised.

"u shouldnt push urself just to prtect me." zeles said wiping some of the cuts.

"i have to, ur powers r weakening by the hour and ur parents would b mad at me if i dont protect u." i said as i twich at times when she treats the injuries.

zeles looks at my right hand and sees a broken sword. "and ur sword is broken. it cant b used anymore." she said.

i lift up my hand and sees a broken sword. "its ok, we're past the caves and we're im Mystic Forest now so theres no more monsters." i said.

i slowly get up. "but if we dont make it to the spring in time, we lose our powers." i said slowly trying to walk.

i stumble and zeles catches me. "i kno so dont push urself and lean on me, i'm here for u." she said placing my left arm around her. i smirk and lean on her with the sword still in my hand.

"Well, if it isn´t our dinamic duo" a huntress said sitting on top of a rock and jumped to greet them

"I didn´t think you would fight something in the way" Kristia said

"u try dealing with aggitated monster with the poosibility of death while protecting someone without powers." i said to kristia.

zeles helps to sit me down. "he's just being stubborn." she said.

i turn my head away from her. "someone had to protect u." i said to her.

"And here I thought you would be in better state" The huntress said looking at his sword

"Come on we are almost there, Ursula is waiting"

i get up. "its only because my powers r weakening." i said as we walk towards the spring.

"hey zero." zeles says quietly. "what?" i ask.

"with ur powers weakened, can u hide those marks from her?" she asks.

"not anymore so she's going to c them when we reach the spring." i answered as we continue walking.

"You know I can hear everything you two are saying, right? I can even If I didn´t want to" Kristia said gesturing her ears still walking in front of them

"Besides, no matter what marks he has, Forte has a reasons for them" the white haired said still walking

"then try to tune ppl out then." i said rudely.

"that was rude zero." zeles said.

"Let it be Zeles, im used to those reactions" Kristia said when they finally reached the springs

"Well, i didn´t expect the bruises and the brocken sword, but here it is, the spring water, just drink what you need, more of it may cause more damage than recovering" Ursula said taking care of some flowers near the pond

"it works differently for each species, since we're dragons, we have to soak in it." i said to them.

zeles starts the blush. "and since we're partners, we..... uh, we....." she said hesitently.

"we have to soak together." i said finishing her sentence.

"All right, just be careful while doing it" Ursula warned them

"Well, lets leave those two to recover themselves, and please don´t do anything that stains the purity of the springs" Kristia said while they left to rest at a near cavern

i start to undress to reveal claw slash scars all along my back.

"at least she didnt have to c these." i said and them slowly got into the spring.

"im, uh, coming in now." zeles said shyly.

i close my eyes so i dont c zeles naked. she enters the spring.

"it's safe now." she said blushing deeply.

"Well, what do you mean by being used to those reactions?" Ursula asked making a firplace

"When you get something abnormal like this two things" Kristia said gesturing the tail and ears. "People tend to retreat a bit, and since I can hear Zeles´ speed of light heartbeat, I can know things that I may not be supposed to know".

"That can be handy you know, maybe you can hear about" Ursula barely said something that made Kristia open her eyes widenly and started to laugh with the guardian.

we're soaking in the spring. "ahhh, this feels sooo nice." zeles said happily.

"it does." i said as i lean back some.

"so what do u want to do after our powers get restored? well if they do that is." zeles asks.

"who knows." i said as i lean my head back.

"maybe we can settle down?" zeles asks while blushing.

my back slips and my entire body slides into the spring. "r u serious or was that i joke?" i ask surprised.

"i was only joking." she said.

Kristia was working on something in the workbench and some sparks were heard, then a little explosion resonated

Ursula went to the source of the explosion and met a smoke filled huntress throwing a broken junk to a pile of other failed attempts.

"What are you doing?" the guardian asked looking at the remnants of whatever Kristia was working with.

"Im improving my sword and shield with some relics I got from the last battle" that confused the blue haired "Last battle? the only fight you have had was on your dreams with that wretched skeleton, how did you obtained these things?"

"That scythe madman has his ways to obtain and give what is deserved" Kristia said grining

"ok, i think we've soaked enough." i said as i stand up.
zeles nods and we got out and dried off and got dressed.
"badamm, badamm, badamm." our heats went.
"gahhhhhhh!!!" i scream.
"aaahhhhhhhh!!!!" zeles screamed as colorful auras surrounded us.
the auras blasted away from our bodies and we fall to our knees.
"u ok?" i ask her.
"yea, im fine know." she replied.

"Guess they are recovered now" Kristia said moving her ears

"I assume things will be active again" Ursula sighed reading her grimoire

as we start to stand up, i suddenly got hit with pain.
"aaahhhhhh!!!" i scream as i fall to all fours.
"zero!!" zeles said worrying.
suddenly, 2 large wings appear on my top back and 2 small wings on my lower back 4 seconds later.
a long tail appears with a twin-edged blade on the end with a split opening in the middle.
a horn appears on top of my head and then it sharply angles to point towards the back of my head.

"I warned them about the excess of usage of the spring´s powers" Ursula said looking at the transforming Forte

"Sadly, he must endure it and control his powers" Kristia said sharpening her sword

"this is not from excess from the spring." zeles said.
i stand up with my breathing back to normal.
i clench my hands a few times. "my powerrs r back and even stronger." i said.
"summon ur weapon." a voice said in my head.
i extend my hand forward and a pole appeared b4 me.
i grab it. "a pole?" i ask myself.
"focus on the pole." the voice said.
i focus onto the pole and a energy blade appears on one end in a sythe shape.
"a sythe?" zeles asks confused.
i retreat it and my new parts. "i guess i got to change my fighting style now." i said streching.

"So now you have a new form? Ill take the guess it can be like that or it can be hidden?" Kristia asked looking at the horn

"Another day, another new thing" Ursula said reading her grimoire again

"hm?" i ask.
"ur horn is still there." zeles said.
i reach up and still fell the horn. "woops." i said as i retreat it.
"there, now i look human again." i said looking at myself to make sure.
"so now what?" zeles asks.

"You need some rest, now you are feeling strong, but in a few minutes, you bodies will ache from exceess of energy obtained in such little time" Ursula said

"Well, you two can rest on our home, it has two beds and its over there in a cave, don´t worry, the monsters respect us and won´t be stupid" Kristia assured them.

"really? thank u." zeles said.
"i do need rest after all that hunting." i said.
everyone is shocked at what i said.
"what?" i ask.
